A Great Book Signing

Saturday, June 21, I had a book signing at the Coeur d’ Alene Hastings from 1-4 p.m. About 3:00 p.m. a young man in his 40s or early 50s, named Eric, showed up with a bouquet of flowers for me. He had bought my book at an earlier signing and noticed from my scheduled appearances that I would be in Coeur d’ Alene that day. His random act of kindness blew me away. He said after he had purchased the book, he devoured it in a few hours and liked the fact that it had short chapters. I was flattered that he actually read my book, but the critique was an added bonus. The flowers will last perhaps a week or more, but the memory will last a lifetime. It renewed my faith in human beings.
